The Cancer Center for Healthy Living is Peoria's premiere cancer support center. Our programs and services are available free of charge to cancer patients, survivors and their caregivers. A variety of programs and services are available to help heal the mind, body and spirit.
Our programs and services include individual, family and group support, individual nutrition counseling and group cooking demonstrations, healthy living classes such as yoga, tai ji, strength training and gentle aerobics, a resource library, educational workshops and seminiars and massage therapy for $30 an hour. Our resource services are available free of charge to the public including the group cooking demonstrations, educational workshops and seminiars and the resource library. Have you ever wanted to try yoga but sitting on the floor is difficult or not an option? CCHL is excited to offer Chair Yoga for a limited time Class is in session EVERY Wednesday at 9AM beginning May 2nd-September 19th! The class will lead you into the exploration of gentle movements and gentle stretching, breath exploration and mindfulness while seated comfortably in a chair. This class is FREE of charge to cancer patients, survivors and caregivers. There is a $5 drop-in fee for the general public. The class will be held inside the Activity Room at the Hult Center.
